How to quote on DIBBS

Build the batch file in FedOpp.

Use this when you are quoting three or more DLA RFQs on the same day.

Step by step

  1. In a DIBBS RFQ drawer, open More, then Add to Batch Quote.
  2. Optional: load DLA’s pre-filled daily batch file from DIBBS.
  3. Fill in company answers once.
  4. Click Check Line. It lists what DIBBS would reject, such as a missing price, a bad CAGE or the wrong format.
  5. Click Add To Batch for each line, then Export Batch TXT.
  6. Sign in to DIBBS in your own browser, open Batch Quoting and upload the file.

A first article changes the price

A first article is a sample the buyer must approve before production.

Packaging is part of the quote

Military packaging is a cost, not a footnote.

Mistakes to avoid

  • FedOpp never submits the file.
  • Do not quote an item whose approved-source list does not include you or your supplier unless the AMSC allows it. The AMSC decoder is the letter key.

Which FedOpp screen does this

DIBBS is the list of open RFQs.

Open FedOpp
